Lucas Lipari-Mayer
TrumpetBorn in Paris into a French Italian-Hungarian family, Lucas Lipari-Mayer was named soloist of the Ensemble intercontemporain in June 2018. After being a semi-finalist in the ARD competition in Munich, he went on to win numerous first and second prizes in international competitions: Città di Porcia Competition (Italy, 2018), Théo Charlier Competition (Belgium, 2019), Werner Pirchner Prize (Austria, 2022), Ellsworth Smith Competition (USA, 2024).
Since then, he has regularly appeared as a soloist with great orchestras such as SemperOper Dresden, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, Orchestra della RAI, Münchner KammerOrchester, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Orchestra di Padova, Jeju Philharmonic, under the baton of conductors like Vladimir Jurowski, Ilan Volkov, Matthias Pintscher and Denis Russell Davies.
At the same time, he performs with various groups and orchestras in France and internationally: Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de France, Dresden Semperoper, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, orchestre de l’opéra de Paris, Ensemble Musikfabrik, Malmö Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Teatro La Fenice, Malmö All Star Brass Ensemble, Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Carillon Quartet and the Los Angeles-based experimental company: The Industry.
His passion for chamber music leads him to regularly perform in trumpet-vocal or trumpet-organ duos as part of various cultural events (Bach Festival, events at Saint-Eustache with Thomas Ospital), as well as alongside accordionist Anthony Millet, with whom he founded the duo MiLLiP in 2024. Lucas is also a member of the Bacchus Brass quintet and the ensemble Les Trompettes de Versailles.
He is regularly asked to record film scores, such as a concerto the Oscar-winning composer Elliot Goldenthal dedicated to him.
Since 2023, Lucas has been teaching at the Conservatory of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, the Palaiseau Conservatory, as well as the Regional Conservatory (CRR) of Saint-Maur.
Lucas is a Yamaha Artist.
