Elle livre ses premi\u00e8res impressions sur cette \u0153uvre entre deux cultures musicales.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Lorsque Peter E\u00f6tv\u00f6s m\u2019a confi\u00e9, en juin 2022 \u00e0 Budapest, la partition d\u2019<em>Adventures of the Dominant Seventh Chord<\/em>, en me proposant d\u2019en assurer la cr\u00e9ation fran\u00e7aise, j\u2019avoue que ma curiosit\u00e9 a imm\u00e9diatement \u00e9t\u00e9 piqu\u00e9e ! Tout <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">d\u2019abord parce que jouer une \u0153uvre de Peter, c\u2019est explorer chaque fois une facette diff\u00e9rente de cette personnalit\u00e9 si riche et inventive, qui a marqu\u00e9 mon parcours de musicienne \u2013 que ce soit en tant que compositeur ou en tant que chef d\u2019orchestre.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ensuite parce que cette pi\u00e8ce est le lieu d\u2019une rencontre entre la musique occidentale et la musique orientale, par le biais du fameux accord de septi\u00e8me de dominante. Cet accord, qui typiquement pr\u00e9pare la conclusion des phrases musicales dans l\u2019harmonie classique, sugg\u00e8re plut\u00f4t une ouverture dans le cadre de la musique traditionnelle. Un paradoxe qui contribue \u00e0 faire de la pi\u00e8ce \u00ab une surprise constante, une v\u00e9ritable aventure \u00bb, dixit Peter. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Pour l\u2019interpr\u00e8te classique que je suis, c\u2019est un v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9fi : il s\u2019agit de faire le lien entre ces deux cultures musicales, qui sont en outre de nature bien diff\u00e9rentes, l\u2019un relevant de la tradition \u00e9crite et l\u2019autre de la tradition orale.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Quand, apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9couvert la partition, je lui ai demand\u00e9 de me parler de ces chants traditionnels transylvaniens \u2013 dont s\u2019inspirent la m\u00e9lodie et les rythmes dansants de la pi\u00e8ce, tour \u00e0 tour rapides et lents \u2013, j\u2019ai soudain senti Peter gagn\u00e9 par la nostalgie\u00a0: il m\u2019a dit qu\u2019il pourrait tous me les chanter et qu\u2019alors je saurai imm\u00e9diatement comment jouer la pi\u00e8ce.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">En v\u00e9rit\u00e9, cette superposition du classique et du traditionnel fait partie int\u00e9grante de l\u2019identit\u00e9 de Peter, de m\u00eame que le jazz ou d\u2019autres sources qui inspirent ses diff\u00e9rentes \u0153uvres.
