L\u2019Ensemble intercontemporain lui a propos\u00e9 d\u2019imaginer un contrepoint visuel au chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019Olivier Messiaen, <em>Des canyons aux \u00e9toiles\u2026<\/em> qui sera jou\u00e9 le <\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #003366;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">16 mars \u00e0 la Philharmoni<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #003366;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">e de Paris.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00c9teignez toutes les lumi\u00e8res\u2026 Le dispositif id\u00e9al aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 de plonger la salle et la sc\u00e8ne de la Philharmonie dans un noir complet et que ce concert se d\u00e9roule \u00e0 l\u2019aveugle\u00a0; que mon intervention plastique ne se voie pas, ne se ressente pas, qu\u2019elle disparaisse. Ce qui m\u2019importe le plus, c\u2019est la musique d\u2019Olivier Messiaen, ces sonorit\u00e9s qui fendent l\u2019air. Je suis sculptrice et je travaille sur la perception. Je con\u00e7ois des dispositifs pour mettre l\u2019espace int\u00e9rieur en \u00e9moi, en mouvement.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Pour l\u2019Ensemble intercontemporain, le dispositif de noir complet est une id\u00e9e utopique car les musiciens doivent \u00eatre au contact visuel de leurs partitions et du chef d\u2019orchestre. Donc j\u2019explore d\u2019autres pistes comme celle de faire na\u00eetre une nappe de lumi\u00e8res au-dessus de la nappe musicale gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une partition d\u2019interventions lumineuses et color\u00e9es, ponctuelles, agissant dans le lieu. Cette partition serait interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par un instrument suppl\u00e9mentaire \u00e0 ceux de l\u2019orchestre, \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019instrument de lumi\u00e8res\u00a0\u00bb, qui pourrait \u00eatre un projecteur robotis\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensembleinter.com\/accents-online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Yellowbluepink.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"328\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Je ne suis pas musicienne. J\u2019ai accept\u00e9 l\u2019invitation de l\u2019Ensemble intercontemporain parce que je ne me suis jamais aventur\u00e9e sur ce terrain et que\u00a0l\u2019\u0153uvre\u00a0d\u2019Olivier Messiaen est\u00a0formidablement\u00a0exploratrice. J\u2019ai la passion de l\u2019inconnu. En m\u00eame temps, le son comme la lumi\u00e8re\u00a0sont des ondes. Ce sont des mat\u00e9riaux fluides qui s\u2019infiltrent, qui d\u00e9bordent les limites des murs, des architectures.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00c0 plusieurs reprises, j\u2019ai utilis\u00e9 le son comme un mat\u00e9riau de sculpteur. Par exemple, avec le plasticien Michel Fran\u00e7ois et la collaboration d\u2019Alex Fostier, concepteur sonore,\u00a0nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 la sensation sonore d\u2019une chute physique sans fin. Un souffle dans un tube de m\u00e9tal avait \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9arrang\u00e9 et cr\u00e9ait une forme de\u00a0vertige. Le son \u00e9tait \u00e9galement au centre d\u2019une installation que j\u2019ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9e dans l\u2019Ancien Entrep\u00f4t des Tabacs de Dunkerque, une halle immense dont les planchers avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 retir\u00e9s. Il s\u2019agissait de souffles qui tant\u00f4t s\u2019amplifiaient et produisaient un vent fort et tant\u00f4t se r\u00e9duisaient \u00e0 une respiration circulant dans la charpente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensembleinter.com\/accents-online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Rose_photo\u00a9Blaise_Adilon_courtesy_IAC_Villeurbanne.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"592\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Depuis le d\u00e9but de mon travail, dans les ann\u00e9es 1970, j\u2019interroge la perception, la lumi\u00e8re, le mouvement, l\u2019espace. J\u2019invente mes outils. J\u2019ai toujours l\u2019impression de repartir \u00e0 z\u00e9ro. Je vais vers de nouvelles exp\u00e9rimentations. Je n\u2019ai pas de formes fixes. Je me trouve plut\u00f4t dans les questions de fluidit\u00e9, de mat\u00e9riaux pauvres, de formes non arr\u00eat\u00e9es, \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res. Je mets en place des dispositifs neutres et l\u2019aptitude\u00a0interpr\u00e9tative du visiteur cr\u00e9e l\u2019\u0153uvre. Mon id\u00e9e est de produire de la forme, de la couleur, de l\u2019espace, du mouvement l\u00e0 o\u00f9 il n\u2019y en a pas.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Plusieurs de mes dispositifs sont des brouillards artificiels. En entrant dans un espace, le visiteur est plong\u00e9 dans une brume \u2014\u00a0color\u00e9e ou blanche\u00a0\u2014 dans laquelle il est d\u00e9sorient\u00e9 et perd ses rep\u00e8res. Bien qu\u2019il soit dans la lumi\u00e8re, il ne parvient plus \u00e0 voir les limites de l\u2019espace, \u00e0 distinguer les autres ni m\u00eame parfois son propre corps. Son exp\u00e9rience, son\u00a0syst\u00e8me nerveux, sa singularit\u00e9 font l\u2019\u0153uvre. Cette derni\u00e8re est, tout comme la musique, d\u00e9pendante de celui qui la re\u00e7oit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ensembleinter.com\/accents-online\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Yellowbluepink_photo\u00a9-wellcome-collection-Photography-by-Tom-Farnetti.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"492\" height=\"369\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">J\u2019essaie de d\u00e9sorienter l\u2019habitude pour ouvrir des formes in\u00e9dites qui engagent le corps et la pens\u00e9e. Se sentir perdu permet de se red\u00e9couvrir, de d\u00e9velopper les sens et la pens\u00e9e diff\u00e9remment. Quand il y a une perte de rep\u00e8res, l\u2019attention est aux aguets, en \u00e9veil. Je travaille sur nos capacit\u00e9s de perception, sur ce que le cerveau est en mesure de produire. La disponibilit\u00e9 nouvelle nous permet de r\u00e9veiller nos sens \u00e0 d\u2019autres intuitions, d\u2019autres possibles, d\u2019autres fa\u00e7ons de voir, d\u2019entendre, de ressentir.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Mes \u0153uvres sont des \u0153uvres \u00e0 vivre, \u00e0 fr\u00e9quenter, \u00e0 approcher, \u00e0 \u00e9prouver. J\u2019en suis la premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rimentatrice et la premi\u00e8re surprise. Par des dispositifs parfois techniquement tr\u00e8s \u00e9labor\u00e9s et d\u2019autres fois tr\u00e8s simples. Je pense, par exemple, \u00e0 la proposition des \u00ab\u00a0Phosph\u00e8nes\u00a0\u00bb*. Elle est purement m\u00e9canique, elle consiste en une pression prolong\u00e9e des doigts sur les paupi\u00e8res closes. Cela fait appara\u00eetre des formes g\u00e9om\u00e9triques, lumineuses, p\u00e9tillantes. Comme de petites \u00e9toiles. Je regarde le monde de fa\u00e7on plus cosmomorphe qu\u2019anthropomorphe.
