Music director of the Ensemble intercontemporain since September 2023, Pierre Bleuse has established himself on the international scene as a regular guest of prestigious orchestras: Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Tokyo Symphony, City of Birmingham Symphony, BBC Symphony, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Hessische-Rundfunk Orchestra, NDR RadioPhiharmonie Hanover, MDR-Sinfonieorchestrer Leipzig, Tonkünstler Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Basel and Bern Symphony Orchestras, Brussels Philharmonic.
Music Director of the Odense Symphony Orchestra in Denmark, he is also Artistic Director of the reknown Pablo Casals Festival in Prades.
Deeply committed to the interpretation and dissemination of contemporary music, he has recorded numerous projects, including a Ligeti album with the Ensemble intercontemporain, which was awarded a Choc Classica and Diapason d’Or of the Year 2024.
Pierre Bleuse won first prize for violin at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Paris, and trained as a conductor with Jorma Panula in Finland and Laurent Gay at the Haute École de Genève.
